Yes, in the often quoted phrase from my maths group I "don't geddit"
But today I have a problem from my Literacy group, this is unusual as I teach top literacy and therefore we don't normally struggle with the work. But today, they, and I are stuck on our work!!! So I thought I'd ask you all for some help!!
Can anyone solve this riddle?
What being goes on four legs in the morning,
Two legs in the afternoon,
And three legs in the evening?
Please help, it's bugging me!!
Lots of love xx

Unless I am missing something the answer is 'man' (as in human)
Morning is when a person is a baby i.e. crawling
Evening is when they are getting old and use a cane / walking stick.
The rest of the time (afternoon)they walk on two legs...
Hope this helps
or the other answer is
man
A baby on four legs
walking on two legs
sat on a bar stool getting drunk in the evening
only problem with that Dave is that bar stools have 4 legs normally so that would be 4 or 6 legs in total? I think we should ask the Prof (Andy Young) on this one....
Tut, you young boys. A true bar stool has 3 legs. The other sort of real bar stool have 1 leg but are fixed. 4 legged are breakfast bar stools and you have them in your kitchen. Andy Young!!! he has probably only ever been in a pub 20 times in his life! I was drinking in pubs before either you or Andy were born.
I don't doubt that! And also can now picture your 1-legged barstools.
Ju you must post on some of the kids' answers, would make great reading!

Oh and you other two, if only you were in my class - with discussions about the number of legs on a bar stool lke those I would never have a dull day at school again!!!
Wow a one-legged bar stool conjures up a picture which makes your eyes water!!
Like sitting on a shooting stick.
Time Lord says you've not taken into account the legless in the bar...........
legless in the bar.....hmmm memories of the Jolly Green Giant in Fuerteventura!
